Emerging evidence suggests that there is variance and ambiguity regarding the new medical leadership roles and problems in recruiting medical staff into these roles. In addition, most medical leaders are experiencing an environment where greater leadership is expected from them in relation to service delivery, quality and the achievement of targets.
The Leadership Centre is working with Trusts to address the development needs of doctors in different leadership positions and delivering practical ways of meeting these needs. This work involves roles review, identifying problems to effective performance in leadership roles, exploring ways organizations can enable medical leaders to be effective, and reviewing structures and organization support arrangements in place. We offer bespoke development programmes, 1:1 coaching, mentoring support, 360 feedback and the facilitation of directorate initiatives to improve performance and multi professional working.
