Leaders in Practice for Social Worker Team Leads

Purpose

This programme is for leaders who manage people on the front line in Social Work and Social Care.  These leaders will develop critical reflection skills and new insights into their management and leadership, equipping them for their challenging role.  This will be clearly demonstrated through a transfer of learning into managing practice on the front line.  Not only will they personally beneft but the rewards will be reaped by staff, service users/carers and by their Trust/organisation.

 

NI Social Care Council - Professional in Practice:

This is an accredited Programme for four requirements in the NI Specialist Award in Social Work - 1, 3, 7 and 8.

20th October 2021 at 3.30pm - 4.30pm.

4 November 2021 at 4pm - 5pm 

Learning Outcomes

Develop critical reflection and new insights into their management and leadership role within a complex environment, including service user involvement. 

Network with other managers in HSC and other sectors. 

Audience

Social work team leaders who may be new to team leading or those who may be more experienced and want to refresh their skills and knowledge.

 

Method

This will mainly be a on-line programme, supported by e-learning materials with lots of tutor and group interaction on zoom.  There might be a possibility of some face to face sessions toward the end of the programme.

Please note: participants will be required to complete two tutor-marked assessments, a reflective journal, a presentation and scheduled e-learning.

This programme will be charged at 2 MD places from your Trust SLA or £1,916.  Programme approval must be obtained from the Trust SLA Lead and in agreement with Social Work Training Team.
