To accellerate essential management skills. This bespoke, bite-sized programme will provide participants with critical operational management skills, giving them the confidence to manage themselves, staff and resources to deliver their service with impact.

Audience

SPPG (Dept of Health) Staff Only

This course is only accessible by staff of the Strategic Planning and Performance Group, within the Department of Health.

Anyone new to management or a frontline/middle manager requiring a refresh of critical operational skills.

 

 

Method

All sessions will be delivered online via Zoom.

As part of the Ambition organisation Development Programme ‘Our People as Leaders’, this bespoke, interactive course has been refreshed into a new online, bite-sized format spanning 5 half days (afternoon sessions).  The course will highlight core management themes such as Managing Self, People, Resources, Data, Finance and Change. You will explore your own management style and analytical skills to empower evidence-based decision-making and strategic planning. You will become more aware of your role in supporting staff through sustainable change and gain an enhanced understanding of managing budgets. You will also engage with guest speakers and create a network of fellow managers, enabling you to grow in confidence in your role.
