¡Órale! Mexican-themed fundraiser a sizzling hit! Bringing together The Leadership Centre staff for an evening of delicious food, vibrant music, and generous giving. Held at the newly refubished café, the event featured a mouthwatering spread of tacos, enchiladas, and chilli, all prepared by the HSC Leadership Centre’s Digital Team.
Staff enjoyed traditional Mexican mocktails, food and music, and a blindfolded piñata bash. A spokesperson for the HSC Leadership Centre released the following statement:
“We would like to formally address the unprecedented events of what is now being referred to as Piñatagate.
First and foremost, we extend our deepest apologies to the papier-mâché inflatable donkey, which tragically lost its head in what can only be described as a blindfolded frenzy of sugar-fuelled enthusiasm.
We also acknowledge the collateral damage—namely an undisclosed member of staff, missed the above-mentioned target entirely, striking her opponent’s elbow, a widescreen monitor and three pairs of sunglasses, however we are pleased to report that all participants are recovering well, and the candy was eventually liberated from its cardboard prison.
In response to this incident, the HSC Leadership Centre has now been declared a no-swing zone.
We thank everyone for their good humour, poor aim, and willingness to laugh through the chaos. Let us remember that with great candy comes great responsibility.”
