Claire Lundy

Principal Consultant

Claire is a sessional Principal Consultant in HSCLC spending the rest of her week in BHSCT where she is a Consultant in Paediatric Neurodisability, Neurology and Rehabilitation.

A medical graduate of Queen’s University Belfast with a Masters from Sheffield Hallam University and Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, Claire is also a level 3 trained quality improvement practitioner ( Scottish Fellow) and is an ILM and GENOS accredited coach. She has extensive experience in leading innovation, research and service development particularly in the multidisciplinary setting having worked in Guys and St Thomas’ and Kings Health Partners, London before returning to Belfast 15 years ago to set up the award winning Regional Paediatric Neurodisability service. Claire has authored and co-authored numerous scientific publications and has an active research interest in the field of cerebral palsy and movement disorders.

Claire offers coaching to professionals across a range of disciplines including medical, nursing, social work, pharmacy, finance and organisational development. She enjoys supporting colleagues in their career progression and has written a book on interview preparation for healthcare professionals ‘The Medical Interview Coach’ published by Springer.

With a background in clinical multidisciplinary working Claire has expertise in team support and coaching and has delivered bespoke high performance team workshops alongside colleagues in a range of clinical settings. She works with colleagues on the delivery of clinical leadership  programmes for medical and dental professionals in the leadership centre such as New Clinical Leaders and Making the Case for Change.
