Brendan Whittle

Brendan is an experienced Leader. He has worked in the HSC in Northern Ireland for over 30 years prior to joining the Leadership Centre, having held a number of senior executive positions in HSC Trusts and HSC regional organisations.

Brendan is a Social Worker. After working in London on qualification he moved to Northern Ireland in 1990. His social work practice was focused on the areas of children’s services, hospital social work and disability services.

He has held senior management positions as Assistant Director of older people’s services, Director of adult services, Director of children’s services and Executive Director of Social Work. Brendan has held regional positions as a Director in the HSCB and subsequently as Director of Community Care at the Department of Health’s Strategic Planning and Performance Group (SPPG).

Brendan joined the Leadership Centre in 2024 and is enjoying undertaking a range of consultancy work alongside the centre’s Leadership Development Programmes.
